Overall Rotary is well over
halfway in its $200 million challenge.
If you notice people
walking around with pinkie fingers dyed purple, you are not
just seeing things.
The Rotary Club of
Mission Midday was out raising awareness in the battle to
eradicate polio! The first Purple Pinkie Project for Mission
was held at Heritage Park Senior Secondary and the response
to the fundraiser was encouraging.
Why the Purple Pinkie?
There is still a big
flare of polio in some countries and when a child is
vaccinated; their pinkie is dyed purple so they don't
receive the vaccine twice.
We would also like
to thank Linda Dickinson for helping us set up. She and some
of her students not only helped us through volunteering,
they actually donated as well.
